One founder, a staffed AI
What 2,000 hours built.
Robert built both 16Fold and the Studio that runs it, on his own — mostly in Claude Code, with big pieces built in Grok, and ChatGPT and other AI tools brought in to compare results and check each other's work. He's spent 20+ years in design, branding, and marketing. He's not a professional engineer or developer. Here's what actually came out of it — real numbers, pulled straight from the system, nothing rounded up to sound better.
What this is — and isn't
This isn't "one person did the work of ten." It's a list of what's real: the code, the pages, the ad spend we've checked, the posts we've shipped. The big numbers — the ad spend, the hours, the company brain — are already on How we measured this, so we won't repeat them here. The last section on this page is kept separate on purpose — it's the system keeping an eye on things, not something anyone actually made, and we don't want it blurring into the real work above it.
How much did this multiply his output?
Here's the math. To build this the normal way, you'd need two senior engineers for six months, a front-end developer for two, a copywriter for two, and a handful of specialists — paid media, SEO, social, quality checking, project management — working part-time the whole way through. Add it up and that's somewhere around 8,000-9,000 hours of work. Robert did it in 2,000. That's where 4-5× comes from.
Even that undersells it. Saying "4-5x faster" assumes he could've just hired those specialists and gotten the same result, only slower. It doesn't count the years it actually takes to become an engineer, or a paid-media analyst, or an SEO specialist — years he never spent. He's spent 20+ years in design, branding, and marketing. Not engineering. Not paid media. Not SEO. AI closed that gap, not just the clock.
It shows up every day, too, not just in the build. A client's content shows up already written in their voice, on-brand, most of the way to done. Sometimes it needs a small tweak. Sometimes it doesn't need anything. He reads it, approves it, and it goes out. Now multiply that across every client, every week — that's the same thing happening on repeat.

Who actually runs it
Not a metaphor. These are real, named roles doing real work inside the Studio, right now.
19
AI specialists, each with one job: strategy, copywriting, social, creative, paid ads, SEO, email, cold outreach, conversion, project management, day-to-day ops, quality checking (twice — one checks the work, one tries to break it), personal brand, client relationships, hiring, and finance
5
AI board members whose only job is to poke holes in the work before it reaches a phone

07 — What the system watches, not what it made
Kept separate on purpose
These numbers are real. But they're the system keeping an eye on things — an ad account, a search console, a reviews page — not something a person or an AI actually sat down and made. We're keeping them apart so this list doesn't look bigger than it really is.
9,455

House rule on claims
Same rule as the rest of this site: if we can't source a number, we don't publish it. And we're not going to credit this page to the AI specialists 16Fold sells to customers — those are a product, not what actually built this site. The real work happened mostly in Claude Code, with big pieces built in Grok, and ChatGPT and other AI tools brought in to compare results and check each other's work. If something here is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
